How does one capture love?

Cape Town based photographer Robin Jones captures the warmth and intimacy between Elli and Edwin’s love in this beautiful collection of photos.

Elli and Edwin met in Barcelona by chance whilst both on vacation. It was love at first sight for these two, as they became a couple the day they met.

“I never understood the saying… ‘when you know, you know’, until that day.” Elli says as she fondly recalls the memory.

“For this shoot, I can remember the day pretty well because we were freshly in love, and we couldn’t take our hands off one another. Having a long-distance relationship is not always fun, but when we saw each other after that long break, we were just so happy to be in each other’s arms again.”

As these two kindred spirits relish in one another’s presence, another question is posed to them: What do you love about each other?

“What I love about Edwin - he is honest, grown, loyal, loving, caring, protective, sensitive, and patient with me. He has such a beautiful soul and such a positive energy around him and the moment he smiles at me I´m gone. He makes me feel safe and I found home within him. Life feels so easy with him, and everything finally makes sense.

Edwin smiles, “Elli is a remarkable human being. Her smile is contagious and takes me to places I can’t explain. She is so selfless, kind and her love for family is unbelievable. She is my number one supporter and always motivates me to strive for greatness. I feel loved at any given moment and that is a priceless feeling.”
